International Day For the Conservation of Mangrove Ecosystem

In celebrating The International Day For the Conservation of Mangrove Ecosystem, The Ministry of Environment, Lands and Agriculture Development (MELAD)  through the Environment and Conservation Division had conducted a Clean-up and Mangrove Replanting at the Ananau Causeway Bonriki on Friday the 26th of July 2019. There were 1,000 number of Mangroves that were planted by ECD Staffs accompanied by 15 youth reps from the Roman Catholic Youth, Bahai Youth and the International Assembly of God Youth. Apart from those 2 main activities, The Environment Outreach Unit (EOU) had displayed posters beside the roadside as part of awareness on every Environmental issue to the General Public. On that same day, the clean-up program from ECD was able to collect 16 green bags full of trash as part of the campaign against littering publicly.
